Prior to the start of therapy, a comprehensive communication evaluation is performed. At Goepfert Speech we have a variety of evaluations to ensure effective speech therapy. A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will choose an evaluation appropriate for each client.

Once an evaluation is completed, an individualized treatment plan is created by the Speech-Language Pathologist based on those results. Therapy can range in the number of sessions each week. Your Speech-Language Pathologist will discuss the frequency of your sessions to see what works best for you. We encourage clients and parents of children who are clients to complete techniques and exercises at home between their sessions for maximum progress and confidence in arriving at the next scheduled appointment. Ask your SLP what you can do at home to accomplish your goals!
